To commemorate our Club’s 130th anniversary, Mr. Tommy Luk, the Tennis convener and Sub-committee members successfully organized the “CCC 130th Anniversary Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area Elite Tennis Invitation Tournament” on 14 & 15 December 2024. We welcomed tennis teams from various clubs across Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area, and Chengdu to participate in this prestigious event, which attracted numerous teams and created an exciting atmosphere that filled us with pride. This celebratory tournament truly reflects our rich history.
The teams from the Greater Bay Area included three men’s teams and three ladies’ teams, while the Chengdu tennis team sent one Men’s team and one Ladies’ team. From Hong Kong, twelve local sports clubs participated, contributing a total of nineteen Men’s teams and nine Ladies teams. Our club proudly fielded five men’s teams and three women’s teams for this tournament. The competition was divided into Men’s and Ladies’ doubles matches, each comprising a gold and a silver group.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Ringo Ng, a member of our tennis Sub-committee, for organizing the performance band at the Prizes Presentation Dinner of CCC 130th Anniversary Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area Elite Tennis Invitation Tournament in the evening of 15 December 2024. We also express our gratitude to all members of the Tennis Sub-committee and guests who sponsored raffle prizes (including Prof. Herman Hu, President of HKCVTA, Mr. Edmond Yue, Mr. Michael Cheng, President of HKCTA, Mr. Leo Cheng, Mr. Ringo Ng, Ms. Sharon Shao, Mr. Johnny Wong, Mr. Bryant Wong and Mr. Timothy Lui (Lacoste)).
