Since 1894

Club established by Scot Headmaster – William Drew Braidwood to “teach schoolboys to play cricket”. The second oldest cricket club in Hong Kong
Huge impact on early social life in the late 1890s – Neither race, colour nor creed were barriers to membership – unique in Hong Kong in colonial Victorian times.

October 1903 – Braidwood instrumental in forming league cricket in HK. He convened the meeting on 22 October 1903 which created the HK Cricket League (now Cricket Hong Kong China) in the old Club House, with Club Secretary, Mr Asger, the League Secretary Valley.

Original members from Craigengower helped form KCC (1904), Club Recreio (1906), IRC, Chinese Recreation Club amongst others (yes, CRC played cricket)
